Safety tips to protect your home

 

 

v Keep interior lights on while you are away.

 

v Make sure all windows are protected with secure locks.

 

v Secure windows and sliding glass doors with a steel, or wood brace.

 

v Keep bushes and trees trimmed to prevent possible hiding places.

 

v Keep emergency numbers near all telephones.

 

v It is not advisable to leave a key hidden outside of your home.  If absolutely necessary, place the key in a very discrete location.

 

v Don’t leave your keys out, whether in your home, office, etc. where someone can steal or duplicate them.

 

v Make sure you have accessible, working flashlights.

 

v Leave the television or radio on to give the appearance of someone being at home.

 

v Keep your garage door closed and the entry door, from your garage into your house, locked.

 

v Consider getting a dog; barking dogs usually discourage burglars.
